Michael Horn is an experienced corporate attorney and entrepreneur. He counsels emerging growth companies and venture capital investors in New York City.
Mike began his career representing major investment banks and large corporations in sophisticated financial transactions. After building extensive experience in the Internet startup space, Mike now combines his legal background and his in-the-trenches startup experience to counsel his clients with a unique understanding of the issues they face.
Mike is an active member of the New York startup community, having created WhatIsFresh.com and CraftCoffee.com. Under Mike's leadership, Craft Coffee secured investment from a group of industry-leading global investors, including Dave McClure's 500 Startups.
Mike and his companies have been featured in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Time Magazine, The Next Web, Serious Eats, Tasting Table, Saveur, Bon Appetit, Gotham Magazine and WeAreNYTech. He has spoken about entrepreneurship on numerous panels alongside industry leaders at venues including Columbia Business School and New York's General Assembly. Mike is ranked among New York's top 20 startup lawyers by Chubby Brain.
Mike began his career in the New York office of Cahill Gordon & Reindel LLP.
Mike graduated with a J.D. from Cornell Law School, where he was a Notes Editor on the Cornell International Law Journal. He received a B.A. with Honors in social sciences from the University of Arizona, where he graduated magna cum laude.
